Wyndarra Children’s Centre

Our History

Wyndarra Children’s Centre is a privately owned and operated early education and care centre, offering long day care and Kindergarten programs to our community. Purpose-built in 2003 by owners Mark and Sue Reilly, Wyndarra is the third Early Years Education and care centre they have established within the Wyndham community, reflecting over 35 years of dedication to the sector.

Wyndarra is managed by a committed leadership team for over 20 years:

  • Operations Manager: Tamara Greig
  • Nominated Supervisor: Kia Zdravkovski
  • Second in Charge: Joanne Stradling

The centre is licensed to care for up to 103 children each day and features six dedicated learning environments. Each space is thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of children aged six weeks to six years, creating nurturing environments where every child is known, valued, and supported.

Wyndarra is fully accredited under the National Quality Framework and the National Quality Standards assessment and rating system, ensuring high-quality education and care practices across all areas of the service.

As a privately operated centre, Wyndarra is funded through parent fees. We deeply value family involvement and actively encourage parent support, participation, and engagement within our community.

Wyndarra Children’s Centre is proud to be a family-owned service, offering a warm and welcoming environment where families feel supported and children develop a strong sense of belonging.

At Wyndarra, we believe children learn best through play. Our educators intentionally create rich, open-ended learning experiences and engage meaningfully with children to inspire curiosity, exploration, and investigation. Through these experiences, we nurture confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

This commitment helps us maintain the highest quality of care and education for every child at the centre.

Families are notified of closure dates well in advance via email and notices at the centre.

Healthy Eating at Wyndarra

At Wyndarra, we are committed to providing nutritious, balanced meals that support every child’s growth and wellbeing. We are proud to have been formally recognised through the Eat Right Start Right Program, (Vic kids eat well) which is designed to guide early childhood services and families provide nutritious foods.

All meals at Wyndarra are prepared onsite by a qualified chef, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality, freshness, and flavour. Our menus are carefully planned to provide at least 50% of a child’s recommended daily nutrient intake across meals served throughout the day.

To keep mealtimes exciting and diverse, we operate on an 8-week rotating menu cycle, offering a wide variety of child friendly, nutritious meals that encourage positive eating habits.

As an allergy friendly centre, we fully support individual dietary needs. Our team works closely with families to accommodate allergies, cultural dietary requirements, and personal preferences—ensuring every child feels safe, included, and well nourished.
