The Kangaroo Paw Room is our 4-year-old kindergarten program, delivered by qualified early childhood teachers. This funded kinder program provides a comprehensive educational experience that prepares children for their transition to school.
We focus on developing literacy, numeracy, social skills, and emotional regulation while nurturing each child’s unique interests and abilities.
Warm, responsive and consistent relationships with educators create a safe environment where children can feel valued and confident.
Safe, age-appropriate sensory experiences including treasure baskets, textures, sounds, and visual stimulation.
Daily reading, writing and talking with children to build upon vocabulary, listening and comprehension skills to build the foundations for future reading and writing.
Songs, rhymes, and gentle movement activities to develop rhythm, coordination, and spatial awareness.
Build upon children’s fine motor and gross motor development to support increasing coordination, balance, strength, and control of movements.
Provide consistent and responsive support for children’s individual routines, recognising each child’s development, preferences and interests are unique.
