The Gumnut Room is a warm, nurturing environment designed specifically for our youngest learners. We understand that the first year of life is a time of incredible growth and development, and our experienced educators are dedicated to supporting each baby’s individual needs and rhythms.
Our focus is on creating secure attachments, providing responsive care, and offering rich sensory experiences that support babies’ developing brains and bodies. We work closely with families to ensure continuity of care and to celebrate each milestone together.
Building trusting relationships through responsive, consistent care and one-on-one interactions with primary caregivers.
Safe, age-appropriate sensory experiences including treasure baskets, textures, sounds, and visual stimulation.
Daily reading, singing, and talking with babies to support early language development and communication skills.
Songs, rhymes, and gentle movement activities to develop rhythm, coordination, and spatial awareness.
Supporting gross and fine motor development through tummy time, crawling, pulling up, and grasping activities.
Respecting each baby’s unique schedule for feeding, sleeping, and play, working closely with families.
